Get started. The Client Experience.

Gather and Set Expectations.

You provide and I collect relevant documents to establish common understanding of your financial journey. I ask questions. You ask questions. We get to know each other, the facts at hand, and set expectations.

Plan.

We review a shoreline of financial planning areas in this moment of the surf - including your sense of well-being, any driving concerns and long term goals. Together we develop a living priority list for long term financial wellness.

Invest.

Based upon our findings, we develop an Investment Policy Statement that guides an investment strategy suitable for you. This mix will be based upon factors like age and willingness for risk as well as the extent to which you wish to include less tangible impact considerations like community development, patient capital and accelerated giving strategies.

Shareholder Advocacy : a deeper dive.

Raise it.

Through shareholder advocacy, investors harness collective energy as one voice to engage a publicly traded company in a dialogue about a matter of import. If the dialogue is successful, the company may change.

Resolve it.

If no productive resolution is reached, shareholders may submit a resolution to the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission). Resolutions may ask requests of the company - often in an effort to invite a more inclusive, just, and regenerative economy.

Change it.

If a resolution goes to vote, and enough other shareholders agree, the company may also change.

Align it.

These shareholder resolutions often align various stakeholders’ interests, like consumers, the earth and the labor force. Through shareholder advocacy, investors unite to demand transparency and action to restore the health of communities and lands in which these companies operate - and stop them from causing harm.

Reveal it.

A common shareholder request is for more transparency and information.

Evolve it.

So many good things have happened at companies in favor of the earth and consumers through shareholder resolutions and advocacy! Farm Girl Capital does not vote shareholder proxies but does support advocacy in other ways. Learn more here.
